Eligibility for non-profits falls under 2 categories: Compliance and pre-qualification.

Pre-qualification is the process of requesting and activating a Google for Nonprofits account and the funding of an ad grant. Most non-profits that fall under the 501 (c) (3) category can qualify. Google will also need to validate a secure, mobile-friendly functioning website. Many organizations can obtain the grant without the assistance of a Google Ads Certified Partner. Why Do I Need A Grant Manager?


In 2019, Google changed the rules for their Ad Grant program and hundreds of non-profits lost their grants.

  • No single word keywords
  • No overly generic keywords
  • No keywords with quality scores less than or equal to 2
  • 5% minimum clickthrough rate across all ad campaigns
